Biographical Sketch
Dr. Pelic is an Assistant Arofessor in the Military Sciences Division in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, where she serves as part-time faculty. Her primary clinical work is at the Ralph H. Johnson Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She is the director of the inpatient recovery unit and additionally provides psychiatric consultation to patients hospitalized for medical and surgical illness. She is actively involved in interdisciplinary efforts to improve patient care, reduce workplace violence, and facilitate staff collaboration. She received her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and her M.D. from the Medical College of Ohio (now the University of Toledo). She completed her internship and residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Pelic was also a 2004-5 chief resident. Dr. Pelic is board certified in Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
