wedin@musc.edu | | | | | | | | Biographical Sketch | | | Dr. Sharlene Wedin is Board Certified in Clinical Psychology with expertise in adults with affective disorders on an outpatient basis. She received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Pacific University. She completed her predoctoral internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center with primary rotations in behavioral medicine and outpatient psychology. Dr. Wedin completed a M.A. in counseling psychology at the University of Denver and B.A. with honors in scientific/experimental psychology from Alfred University. Dr. Wedin previously was Army officer and faculty at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. She is currently an assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, where she works in the Division of Bio-behavioral Medicine as well as at West Ashley Specialty Care – Behavioral Health. | | | | | | | | Clinical and/or Research Expertise | | | Psychotherapy, individual and group, women’s Issues, psychosocial evaluation and management of bariatric patients, coping with chronic medical conditions, and grief and loss. | | | | |
