Ms. Yarnall received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Stetson University in 1989, and earned her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Tufts University in 1991. Since that time she has pursued further specialized training in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, Mediation, Triple P Parenting Program, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
As a clinician Ms. Yarnall is committed to providing high quality evidence-based treatment, and to assuring that each client gains access to services from the provider most suited to meet his or her specific needs.
She has provided counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups in a variety of settings which have included clinics, schools, emergency departments, psychiatric hospitals, non-profit agencies, state agencies and private practice. As part of her clinical practice she emphasizes building and maintaining positive collaborative relationships with clients, families, co-workers, service providers, school personnel, other professionals and governmental officials.
Ms. Yarnall’s professional interests include ADHD across the lifespan, Borderline Personality Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and using Mindfulness-based therapies to resolve difficulties and improve our level of functioning in each facet of our lives.
