Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
The Behavioral Medicine Clinic within the Division of Bio-Behavioral Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry at MUSC is an outpatient clinical specializing in the behavioral management of a wide range of chronic medical conditions.
Our clinicians work closely with medical-provider teams in order to ensure that patients receive comprehensive person-focused clinical care.
We offer numerous services with an emphasis on behavioral approaches to pain management, pre-organ-transplant and pre-surgical evaluation and pre-habilitation treatment, and psychological and pharmacological management of psychiatric problems that are caused by or complicated by the presence of any chronic medical condition. See the Services page for detailed information.
Our clinicians represent a multi-disciplinary team of Clinical Health, Transplant and Pain Management Psychologists, Physicians Dual-Boarded in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry, Post-Doctoral Fellows in Behavioral Medicine, Fellowship-trained Physicians in Pain-Management, Psychosomatic Medicine, and Addictions, Doctoral-Level Clinical Psychology Interns, and Psychiatry Residents. See the Staff page for more information.
We are located on the first floor of the Institute of Psychiatry at MUSC and we are available for behavioral and psychopharamcological consultations for any of MUSC's inpatient services. See the Contact Us and Location pages for more details.
