Forensic Psychiatry Grant Research

Currently the Forensic Psychiatry department has two ongoing Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Grants in conjunction with the University of South Carolina Columbia, John Hopkins & Royal Ottawa Healthcare Group. The first grant is for an ICAC Task Force Algorithm. The other grant regards Child Pornography and Physical contact cases. These grants are based on information obtained from a database of South Carolina Sexually Violent Predator MDT cases. The purpose of these grants is to identify Paraphilias and Sex Crimes in order to provide treatment and prevention.
