Jim Prisciandaro

Dr. Prisciandaro received his Honors B.A. from New York University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from University at Buffalo. He completed his internship and postdoctoral training at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Dr. Prisciandaro received a K23 award from NIAAA in 2012 ("Neuroimaging Mechanisms of Overlap between Alcoholism and Bipolar Disorder") and joined the MUSC faculty as an Assistant Professor.

                                                

Research Interests: Bipolar disorder, neuroimaging (e.g., fMRI, Proton Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy), substance use disorders (e.g., alcoholism, cocaine dependence), behavioral disinhibition (e.g., impulsivity, reward sensitivity), mood disorders, latent variable modeling.
