About the Division of Interventional Radiology

Welcome to Vascular and Interventional Radiology
A Division of the Department of Radiology and Radiological Science

Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art vascular and interventional radiological clinical and procedural services for our patients, train a new generation of vascular and interventional radiologists to provide these services in our state and across the country, and conduct research to
develop new minimally invasive image guided procedures and technologies for the future.

If you are a patient looking for information go to our Patient Information Area.  There you will find information on our services, directions to our locations, and other valuable information of particular interest to patients.

The division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology is located in the two buildings, at the main hospital and at the ART. The facility includes four angio suites and a 64-slice cardiac/interventional CT suite, and a 20 bed prep and recovery area in the main hospital at the Heart and Vascular center. At the ART, the Division of Interventional Radiology facility includes two brand new angio suites and one 16 slice CT scanner. Also at this location we share a 34 bed prep and recovery area with the cardiology division. There is also an animal lab used for teaching and research.  The division of Interventional Radiology has a significant infrastructure to support our operations, with one administrative assistant, one research coordinator, and two patient care coordinators, in addition to a group of nine procedural RNs, ten interventional RT's, two clinical managers and a billing and supplies coordinator.  The Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology currently has five atttending physicians and four fellows and is directed by J.
