Office of Research Development
Proposal Development Services
Research Development accelerates collaborative proposal development among MUSC researchers who are considering the following grant mechanisms: program project, center, training and career development, shared research resources and instrumentation, and construction/renovation. The level of support provided by ORD depends on several factors, but in general the office assists with developing biosketches, resources and environment information, and preparing letters of support.
ORD has supported many faculty with the proposal development process and these are a few of our recent successes.
The Proposal Library, created by ORD and the SCTR Institute, is a repository of recent, successful proposals (e.g., NIH R01, K23, K08, P30) that will serve as a resource for MUSC early career investigators. The library includes basic, clinical and translational applications. You will need your NetID to access the proposal library.
The Principal Investigators Association, an independent organization, has developed a webinar series related to proposal development. The Office of Research Development has acquired several of these webinars to assist faculty to develop successful proposals.
|Resources & Scientific Environment site provides some general language that describes the research environment at MUSC, including facilities & resources, scientific environment, early stage investigators, biohazards, and general information about the institution. Keep in mind that the research environment section of your research proposal should be tailored to your individual project.|
