ORD Funding Database

ORD Funding Database, a customized system designed for the biomedical researchers at MUSC, provides funding opportunities from internal pilot programs and external sources. The MUSC community can subscribe to the Research Funding Alerts list to receive weekly funding announcements. The database is also used to track all limited submissions.

Pivot Funding

Pivot, paid subscription web-based service, provides researchers, research administrators, and their institutions the edge by bringing together the right research opportunities, funding, and people quickly and easily.  Create a pivot profile to access the system.  For additional resources view the Pivot tutorials page.

PCORI Funding Center

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization, organized by Congress to conduct research to give patients a better understanding of the prevention, treatment and care options available, and the science that supports those options.  Visit the Funding Center to find upcoming opportunities or subscribe to join their email list.

CDMRP Research Programs

The Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) managed by the Department of Defense (DOD) US Army Medical Research and Material Command (USAMRMC) formed to increase breast cancer research funding.  Now CDMRP, has grown in scope and size, funding research that spans the biomedical field including but not limited to autism, cancer, multiple sclerosis, psychological health/traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury.   

Reporting Tools and More Funding Databases

Find a comprehensive list of resources for finding government, private foundation, and industry.  Plus, you may want to sign up for email updates or RSS feeds from Grants.gov or other entities.

  • One-on-one or small group consultations for ideas, strategies, and direction on identifying funding sources for specific research projects
