Grant Scoop is a web-based resource for scientists seeking private and government funding opportunities for basic and clinical researchers focused on human health. Scientists, for scientists, at all career stages from graduate student to senior PI, have compiled this resource. Signing up for GrantScoop is easy. Go to www.grantscoop.com and Create a User Account using your “@musc.edu” email address. When you come to the bottom of the sign up page, under ‘Plan’, please choose “Institutional Access”, this will give you immediate access to the site.
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization, organized by Congress to conduct research to give patients a better understanding of the prevention, treatment and care options available, and the science that supports those options. The Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) managed by the Department of Defense (DOD) US Army Medical Research and Material Command (USAMRMC) formed to increase breast cancer research funding. Now CDMRP, has grown in scope and size, funding research that spans the biomedical field including but not limited to autism, cancer, multiple sclerosis, psychological health/traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury.

The Department of Defense (DoD) is an executive branch department of the federal government charged with coordinating all agencies concerned directly with national security. The Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Enterprise webpage provides a list DoD Research and Technology Funding Opportunities from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, US Army, US Department of Navy, US Air Force, Other DoD Agencies such as DARPA.
Donors Cure Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of South Carolina. Donors Cure allows members of the general public to donate directly to biomedical research projects led by active researchers at US universities and institutions. We work closely with our researchers to give feedback to their donors about their progress. The result of this is two-fold: researchers learn to communicate their work to individuals outside of their immediate field, and donors are can see exactly who and what they have support.
