• Changing What's Possible in Cancer Care | Nothing puts fear in you the way cancer does. But no one works harder or attacks cancer from more angles than we do. It's how we became a NCI-designated cancer center. Fighting cancer the right way requires collaboration. It requires coordination by doctors across specialties. And it requires the newest therapies and drugs available anywhere. That's why giving up is the only option we won't try when fighting cancer.

Retreats and Workshops

Grantsmanship Workshops, offered several times a year, are led by an external consultant, the workshop content focuses on the NIH organization, peer review system, grantsmanship tips, and the ABCs of an R01 or other NIH grant application. Individual and team consultations are also offered. The workshops and consultation opportunities are an institutional research support service, provided at no charge to investigators or programs.

Research Project Grant (RPG) Retreats are held approximately three times year. These interactive half-day sessions give individual investigators the opportunity to gain constructive criticism on a specific research concept or proposal. Researchers at any phase of career development are encouraged to present or attend.

For more information and to suggest a workshop topic, please contact Wanda Hutto at huttow@musc.edu.
