Grantsmanship WorkshopsYour Research Career Development Grant Proposal—Who, When, and How? | |
The Office of Research Development is pleased to announce our upcoming Grantsmanship Workshop on February 29, 2012, 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in the Bioengineering Building, Classroom 112. Lead by Dr. Israel Goldberg, president of Health Research Associates, the Grantsmanship Workshops are interactive lectures covering the NIH organization, peer review system, grantsmanship tips, and the ABC's of grant proposals. Dr. Golbderg's upcoming workshop titled "Your Research Career Development Grant Proposal—Who, When, and How?", concentrates on the NIH Mentored Research Career Development K-grant mechanisms, and focuses on who should (and who should not) apply; what does (and what does not) work; and how to write for the reviewers. All members of the MUSC community are welcome to attend. Students, as well as new and experienced investigators, are encouraged to participate. Come prepared to ask questions! In addition to the workshops, Dr. Goldberg will offer individual or team consultations for 45 minutes on February 28 and February 29 in the Office of Research Development, BSB# 101. These sessions are a good opportunity to get independent, experienced feedback on your draft—whether you are at an early or advanced stage in your proposal. This is also a useful avenue to help evaluate a summary statement and plan strategy for revising and resubmitting a proposal. | Register Feb 29 |
