Honorary Degree Nominations: Due November 14th

Sheldon(SGA Pres): These nominations are due Nov. 14th, please submit nominations to the provost office.

Dinner at the Greenbergs’: Wed., Nov. 19th

Sheldon(SGA Pres): If you RSVP that you will come, please show up. Dress is business casual, and there will be a cocktail hour before the dinner.

Engineering and Facilities Appreciation Breakfast

Sheldon(SGA Pres): We have a signup sheet for worker slots, we need some guys to help set up the night before, you will set up the tables and chairs.

Clarion Competition

·         Thursday, November 20, 5:30-8:30PM, Storm Eye Institute Room 809

·         Worker sign-ups
Andrea(SGA PVP): There are not enough clean up slots, so if you work the 3 events then it will be ok. If you work the set-up for the facilities breakfast it will count as a clean up because it will be harder than usual.

3rd Annual Fall Brawl

·         Need Kickball and Tug-of-War teams from each college

Andrea(SGA PVP): I have not heard from anyone about teams for the colleges. I will have a committee meeting after this meeting. We may be able to combine teams of the smaller colleges. We need 10 people for the tug-of-war, and 10 people for the kickball teams.

Veterans – Good Neighbor Center –

Emily Bauer(CHP rep): We served dinner to homeless veteran and  played bingo. They were really grateful and it was a lot of fun.

American Indian Expo – Ahmed Mohiuddin

Ahmed(SGA Tres): We have 5 people signed up for this Saturday. We will take blood pressures, glucose, and promote wellness. Sign-ups will be outside the door.

Holiday Lighting – Jessica Friend

Events set up, refreshment set up and play with the children.

Clarion Competition

Melissa(SGA Sec) The finalist’s presentation is Nov 20th. Please come to the event, we will have a wine and appetizer reception after the presentations. It should be really interesting; the groups have worked very hard. Please encourage your friends to come as well.

Health Professions- petition to help the process of getting a handicap parking space.

International Student Association


Multicultural Student Advisory Board- Adopt a family gift card through MSAB. The T-shirt sale is still going on. We are asking you to pledge to sell T-shirts. Melissa will be sending an email out with the print and the order form. We will have an essay contest this year for MLK day; it will involve high school students and MUSC students as well.


Pharmacy- Christmas trees will go up on campus next week. Friday November 21st will be the Christmas Crawl, there is a 10$ fee or buy a teddy bear gift for your admission ticket.

University Wide Committees

MUSC Gives Back

World AIDS Day- There will be no speakers or outdoor exhibits this year. Tuesday and Wednesday of next week we will be fundraising to benefit the Low Country AIDS services

Holiday Lighting- We will be recognizing the different faith practices of the season. We need students to host the young people. This is how MUSC kicks off the holiday season.
