Constitutional Amendment

SGA Academic VP 2006-2007

1.  Purpose: Amend the MUSC-SGA constitution to further clarify necessary requirements for who may serve as a representative to the MUSC-SGA.

2.  Be it Enacted by the Medical University of South Carolina Student Government Association assembled in regular session the following:

3. That the Medical University of South Carolina Student Government Association Constitution be altered to read as follows.  Many of the decisions made by the SGA are based on the student activities fees.  It is necessary that students at the Medical University pay said fees in order to fully participate in all aspects of student life on campus. 

4.  Article III, Section 2 reads:
All SGA officers must be students in good standing at the Medical University of South Carolina as defined by their respective colleges. 

Let the section be amended to read:
All SGA officers must be students who paid student activity fees and are in good standing at the Medical University of South Carolina as defined by their respective colleges.
