A Constitutional Amendment
To Further Define Membership of the Honor Council
Purpose: To amend the current Bylaws to allow for restructuring of membership to be considered.
Whereas: Currently the council membership is designated by length of time on this campus.
Be it enacted by the Medical University of South Carolina College of Honor Council assembled in session the following:
That the Medical University of South Carolina Honor council Bylaws be altered to read as follows.
Membership and elections reads: Student representatives: Student members serve as members of the honor council until the end of their time on campus. Upon departure, a new student member from the same class or program shall be selected by student elections.
Let the section be amended to read: Student representatives: Elected students serve their college’s Honor Council until the term of their membership is concluded, which shall be determined by each individual college. Upon departure, a new student member from the same class or program shall be selected by student elections.
