There are a wide variety of simulation-based activities occurring at the MUSC Healthcare Simulation Center (MUSC –HSC). As a multi-disciplinary, inter-professional center, we serve all colleges within the university, as well as the university hospital authority. The following represents selected examples of simulation-based courses supported by us both at the center and off-site.

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA)

College of Nursing

The College of Nursing has integrated simulation across the curriculum.  The following courses have significant simulation components.

  • Medical Surgical I & II
  • Foundations & Gero
  • Health Assessment

College of Medicine (Undergraduate Medical Education)

The College of Medicine has also integrated simulation across the curriculum. In addition to several skills days, each clerkship includes and unstable patient simulation. At the end of the curriculum simulation is incorporated into a capstone experience, Intern 101.
