Biographical Overview: Rana C. Pullatt, MD MS MRCS, FACS

Dr. Pullat joined MUSC as an Assistant Professor of Surgery specializing in general and gastrointestinal surgery.  He is Board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a highly skilled Laparoscopic Surgeon and specializes in weight loss Surgery, Laparoscopic Colon Surgery, Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery and Laparoscopic Foregut Surgery. He is actively involved in the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and specifically involved with the group advancing innovative procedures in weight loss surgery. He is also involved in several committees in SAGES which is the premier organization in Laparoscopic Surgery and has helped train other surgeons in innovative procedures.   He has presented several Surgical Videos in National and regional Meetings detailing techniques in Laparoscopic Surgery. He also serves as Director of Bariatric Surgery VISN-7, which provides bariatric surgery for veterans from South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama.
