    Under the direction of Rana Pullatt, M.D., students learn the latest techniques using the da Vinci robot.

    Residents become familiar with the full sprectrum of surgical disease in developing countries and grasp the special considerations for care in the OR during an international rotation in Cameroon.

    Residents discuss their cases as part of the annual lectureship series.

    The Department of Surgery Simulation Lab cultivates the technical and cognitive skills development of  surgical trainees in an environment optimally focused on their education


Education

Throughout the course of the year, the Education Divsion hosts an array of Named Lectureships, Grand Rounds, and Invited Guest Lecturers. 

Named Lectures 

Throughout the year, Named Lectures are delivered by nationally recognized experts in their respective field. 

Grand Rounds

Grand Rounds are all held on monthly from 7 - 8 a.m. in the Drug Discovery Building Room 110 unless otherwise noted.

Surgery Research Day 

Surgery Research Day is designed to showcase and celebrate the exceptional research work in which our resident scholars participate.

Special Events 

MUSC hosts lectures from outside organizations. Most recently, the Claude Organ Lectureship was hosted by MUSC.
