The Department of Surgery holds an annual Surgery Research Day, designed to showcase and celebrate the exceptional research work in which our resident scholars participate. The goal is to congratulate those residents and post-doctoral scholars who have completed their work as well as to stimulate them to pursue additional endeavors. In 2016, Research Day was renamed in honor of Dr. Eric Frykberg, an MUSC Surgical alumnus, who built a brilliant and productive career that has made the practice of Surgery safer, better, and smarter.
Save the Date for the 2018 Surgery Research Day: September 28, 2018

Dr Kibbe also is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Kibbe will deliver the Eric R. Frykberg lecture, entitled The Ups and Downs of Translational Research – One Surgeon’s Journey.
