Dr. B. DaNine Fleming
Director of Training and Intercultural Education
Dr. Fleming joined the Medical University of South Carolina in the fall of 2008. As the director of Training and Intercultural Education her major duties include but are not limited to:
Dr. Fleming received a B.S. in Elementary Education from the oldest historically black university in South Carolina, Claflin University, Orangeburg, SC, a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Charleston, an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership and Administration from South Carolina State University, and a Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio.
Dr. Fleming is quite active as a community advocate serving as the Program Director for Tamika and Friends, Inc. a national human papillomavirus (HPV) and Cervical Cancer Awareness organization, serves on the National Advisory Council for the University of Atlanta, a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, Inc. (NASPA), a member of the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI), Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and is trained in Safe Zones to serve as an advocate increasing the knowledge of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender concerns by serving as an ally. She has received several leadership awards and has been principal investigator and co-investigator on numerous grants.
