Our construction inspectors support the project managers by performing quality inspections during construction, communicating with the contractors, and coordinating utility outages.
Ralph's current projects include the Bee Street Parking Garage, the Animal Imaging Suite and the Uninterruptible Power Supply Replacement. Ralph began working at MUSC in 1997 as a temporary building inspector with more than 27 years of experience in the construction industry. He has been in his current role since 2000. Ralph is a certified building inspector and is qualified as a South Carolina Home Builder.
McMillan's current projects include the Storm Eye Institute water intrusion project, the Strom Thurmond/Gazes building bust duct replacement, 2nd floor Basic Science building (BSB) renovation, the College of Dental Medicine pedestrian bridge addition and the Dental Simulation Lab addition on the 5th floor of BSB.
McMillan recently finished working on the construction of the James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine Clinical Education Center, the elevator addition at the Ashley Rutledge Parking Garage and the Anderson House renovation.
McMillan came to MUSC in 1995 with 17 years of experience in the construction industry. He joined Engineering and Facilities as the pipe shop supervisor and has been a construction inspector since 1999. He is licensed by the South Carolina Builder's Commission and is a certified building inspector, fire and egress inspector, and plans examiner. He is also certified in arc welding and brazing and medical gas installation and inspection.
Bud’s current projects include the Drug Discovery Building and Bio Engineering Building, Mechanical Room Expansion HVAC upgrade, Clinical Sciences 3rd floor renovation and the Energy Performance Contract.
McPartlin recently completed the Pharmacology renovation, the College of Nursing Simulation Lab, Parking Garage Relighting upgrades in Harborview Office Tower and Rutledge Tower Garages, Storm Eye Institute 1st floor renovation, and Quad ‘F’ Building HVAC renovations. McPartlin came to MUSC in October 2000 and spent 6 years in the HVAC shop as Assistant Foreman and Foreman before transferring to Engineering Construction Inspections. He spent 20 years in the US Navy, part of which he was a Shipboard Inspector. He has extensive experience in facilities maintenance management and held the designation as Master Training Specialist. He is a graduate of Charleston Southern University with a Bachelor of Management Arts degree.
