Caroline B. Davila, MHA (Meet Caroline) Communications Coordinator Christine VonKolnitz Cooley, Sustainability Manager Upon graduating with a BA degree from the College of Charleston in 1992, Christine started working as the Recycling Coordinator for the College. While working at the College, she was instrumental in establishing the SC DHEC Collegiate Grant Program. In 1995, Ms. Cooley became the Recycling Coordinator for the Medical University of South Carolina. The MUSC Recycling Program has received numerous awards since her arrival. In 2006, Ms. Cooley took on the additional duties of the Sustainability Manager position at MUSC. Since 1995, Ms. Cooley has received for MUSC over $280,000 in grants for recycling and sustainability projects. In 2004, Ms Cooley and Karyn Kaplan of the University of Oregon co-wrote a recycling book titled Recycling and Beyond: A College Campus Primer. In 2007, MUSC placed second in the Recyclemania contest in the paper recycling category. Ms. Cooley is a Clemson Extension Master Waste Educator, a member of the National Recycling Coalition College and University Recycling Coalition Steering Committee and a member of the Sierra Club Lunz Group Executive Committee.
