| On May 17, 2013 MUSC was presented two Captain Pride Awards by the Community Pride foundation in recognition of the efforts made by MUSC Grounds, MUSC Office of Health Promotion and MUSC Nutritional Services to significantly improve our environment, making it a healthier and more pleasant campus. The City of Charleston presented MUSC with the Green Business Pioneer Award on Feb 8, 2012 at the Best in Green and Local event. |
MUSC hosted this year's award ceremony in the new Drug Discovery building Auditorium on Feb 27, 2013 The Kick-off for the new year and Award celebration included a Green Tour of our campus.
The City of Charleston's 2010-2011 Green Business Challenge presented awards to MUSC and 54 other successful participants on Sep 15, 2011.

The City of Charleston's 2011-2012 Green Business Challenge recognized MUSC's Dental School for saving 370 gallons of water. Dr John Sanders, Dean of the College of Dental Medicine is in the group on the left receiving his certificate from Mayor Riley.
