 RECYCLING & SUSTAINABILITY

Our goal is to reduce the environmental impact of our campus by advancing energy efficiency, water conservation and encouraging recycling. Last year, MUSC recycled 27% of total solid waste. 

Guiding departments and units to reduce waste and helping them to conserve resources is our mission while we continue to increase the proportion of waste that is recycled.

E-Waste Banned from S.C. Landfills!

As of July 1, 2011 South Carolina residents may not knowingly place or discard a computer, computer monitor, printer or television in any waste stream that is to be disposed of in a solid waste landfill.

For MUSC property, employees must follow these instructions:
