Recycle

Recycling is the reprocessing of materials into new products. It generally prevents the waste of potentially useful materials, reduces the consumption of raw materials and reduces energy usage.  It is a key concept of modern waste management. The following items are recycled at MUSC at present.

PAPERALL OFFICE PAPER (CONFIDENTIAL included) is shredded and recycled. Look for Green lids or confidential paper consoles near copy machines, printers and mailrooms. To request a paper bin, call 2-4119

GLASS BOTTLES, ALUMINUM & STEEL CANS

Look for PGS bin:tall blue bin with two holes on the lid in student lounges and break rooms and large black cans in horseshoe.

CARDBOARD
Flatten boxes and place NEXT to your waste container so that Housekeeping can take them to  the correct recycling bin.
NIGHTLY
Compact Fluorescent Bulb (CFL)log a call to 2-4119 and ask zone maintenance to collect
