Financial Reporting reports to the Controller. The department monitors the University's financial data and provides the institutional financial and regulatory reports required for management decision making, agency and project funding, accreditation, and compliance with laws and regulations. The reports produced include: - Monthly interim financial statements to agency management
- Financial status reports for the Board of Trustees
- Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) - the annual audited financial statements
- Other agency and regulatory reports as required or requested
Financial Reporting also: - Provides technical support and control for establishing the MUSC Chart of Accounts for the SmartStream financial system accounting information.
- Maintains the control information and data for MUSC accounting and reporting functions.
- Coordinates annual external audits for the University and assists the auditors in various tasks.
