Office of Insurance Programs - Building and Property Coverage Summary
The Building and Property policy covers all buildings, on and off campus, which are owned by MUSC and MUHA. It also covers all MUSC and MUHA building contents, except for data processing equipment. The deductible for the Building and Contents policy is $1,000. Therefore, if a loss occurs and it is less than $1,000, it is not covered through the Building and Contents policy. If total losses from a claim are over the deductible amount we receive reimbursement from our insurance provider, we will transfer the funds, minus the $1,000 deductible, to the department’s UDAK. Please complete and submit a Building and Property Insurance Claim Form if you have a loss. Insurance forms can be found in the Forms Library in the left menu bar. |  | ||
