The purpose of the MUSC Radiation Safety Manual is to communicate administrative policy, operational procedures and standards of conduct regarding the use of radioactive material and radiation producing machines at MUSC. The Manual is intended as a reference to assist researchers and medical personnel to comply with MUSC Radiation Safety Office policies, the conditions of the MUSC Radioactive Materials License and applicable regulations and guidelines. Every MUSC employee that uses radioactive material or radiation producing machines must be familiar with and comply with the provisions of the manual. Paper copies of the Radiation Safety Manual are available from the Radiation Safety Office. The manual can be viewed, downloaded or printed by selecting the links in the menu to the right. The Manual is in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). You must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer to access the manual online.
